Linen as we know it now was discovered in cave in the Republic of Georgia which was filled with flax fibres. Some say it was mass produced in Egypt 4,000 years ago and the process eventually made its way to Europe in later centuries. It only makes sense now why linen never goes out of style and fashion and enjoys huge popularity thought the sewing community across globe.

Although every fabric needs proper care and nourishment, the process to wash linen clothes is slightly simple. The sturdiness of the material doesn’t require you to worry about the washing method, you can either safely hand wash or machine wash linen at 40 degrees centigrade without shrinking the fabric. However, we’d recommend that when it comes to bright colored linens, you can lower the temperatures to 30 degrees or upto 60 degrees for white linen fabrics.
